Our computer technology client require a Tech Support Specialist who has an excellent academic background. The specialist will provide support for and maintain the client`s corporate infrastructure, which consists of a complex network of LAN`s at 5 locations, VPN`s, RAS servers, firewalls, internet proxies. The systems run a variety of Unix and Microsoft OS`s; corporate services include Exchange, SQL db servers, IIS web servers, data backup systems, secure authentication, and DNS. Other tasks include handling day-to-day installations of software and hardware; maintenance and upgrading of systems; technical housekeeping and admin of systems; and approximately one day per week providing help desk support. This is a company that stays on the leading edge of technology, offering significant training to their employees. There are also opportunities to travel overseas, particularly to the US. The successful candidate will have previous tech support experience; an excellent academic record (3 B`s at A level); a degree in any discipline; good communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
